Ses parents s&#8217;appelent Israele et Sara Colombo. Avec eux et avec ses fr\u00e8res Edvige et Leone, elle habite dans le chef-lieu pi\u00e9montais rue Passalaqua 6.<br \/>\nComme toute famille juive, \u00e0 partir de 1938, la famille Lattes doit faire face aux discriminations et aux restrictions. Apr\u00e8s le 8 septembre 1943, la situation empire. Le 17 octobre 1943, le fr\u00e8re de Itala, Leone, est arr\u00eat\u00e9 en tant que juif; ses s\u0153urs, Itala et Edvige, vont le chercher \u00e0 la prison des Carceri Nuove \u00e0 Turin, tout en sous-estimant le danger de leur action. Les deux femmes sont identifi\u00e9es comme juives et arr\u00eat\u00e9es \u00e0 leur tour. Itala est transf\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 la prison de Milan, d&#8217;o\u00f9 le 6 decembre 1943 est d\u00e9port\u00e9e \u00e0 Auschwitz, sur le premier des vingt trains de la mort partis de la Gare Centrale.<br \/>\n\u00c0 l&#8217;arriv\u00e9e au camp, Itala ne passe pas la s\u00e9lection initiale: elle est tu\u00e9e le jour\u00a0 m\u00eame, avec sa s\u0153ur.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Itala Lattes nait \u00e0 Turin le 1 fevrier 1886.
