Los vagones que se encuentran en el Memorial son de la \u00e9poca y tipo empleados en las deportaciones. Son vagones emplomados que se pueden abrir solo desde fuera y est\u00e1n huecos, porque fueron concebidos para el transporte de ganado: en el espacio para siete u ocho caballos se amontonaban entre sesenta y ochenta personas, obligadas a viajar en condiciones inhumanas. El exterminio fue decretado por la Conferencia de Wannsee del 20 de enero de 1942, pero comenzaba mucho antes de la llegada al campo. El viaje duraba varios d\u00edas, a veces una semana, y no hab\u00eda suficientes raciones de comida y agua para todos. Se pasaba fr\u00edo en invierno y un calor asfixiante en verano. En estos vagones los deportados vivian su primer impacto traum\u00e1tico con la crueldad del exterminio. Quien lograba sobrevivir al infernal viaje, iba a dar a los campos de Auschwitz, Bergen Belsen, Mauthausen, Fossoli, Verona y Bolzano.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Los vagones y el viaje.
